A leading global fintech start-up recognised several critical gaps in their strategic approach, processes, human resources and project methodologies. These gaps were impeding their ability to scale the business effectively and maintain regulatory compliance. Collaborate Consulting was engaged to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the organisation’s strategy, operating model and organisational design. The goal was address these gaps, thereby facilitating the company’s growth and success.

The lack of sufficient functional Early Childhood Development centres has been identified as one of the key challenges facing South Africa, severely impacting the readiness of children entering primary school. ECD centres in under-resourced areas are often run by passionate women living in the community with very little, if any, training in running a business and nor a curriculum and educational tools. These women struggle to access grant funding due to the burdensome regulatory requirements for NGOs, both when applying for funding as well as tracking expenses. Parents are often unable to pay school fees, leaving the ECD centre severely underfunded.

A South African university’s HR Department had identified several audit issues in key HR processes that their Audit Committee requested be resolved. In addition, the manual nature of the transactional HR processes, impacting the team’s capacity to focus on the more strategic HR work as required.
